Center hours
RUMFORD – Pennacook Art Center will be open from noon to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, starting Jan. 1. The hours will remain in effect for the rest of the winter.
There will be no First Friday reception in January. Pennacook Art Center is located at 82 Congress St. For more information, call 364-9972.
Club to meet
MEXICO – The Mexico Trailblazers Snowmobile Club will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, downstairs in the Mexico Town Hall. All are welcome.
The Think Snow Dance will be held Saturday, Jan. 13, at the Eagles Club. Raffle tickets and tickets for the dance are on sale now by contacting Nick Brown at 364-8665 or at the meeting. Tickets on sale at the door.
Story hour
MEXICO – Preschool story and craft hour at the Mexico Public Library will feature “snowy” stories at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2. Book titles to be read include “How Cold Was It?” by Jane Barclay; “The Snowy Day” by Ezra Jack Keats; “Sam’s Snowy Day” by Mary Labatt; “Snow Day” by Lynn Plourde; and “Pooh Welcomes Winter” by Kathleen W. Zoehfeld.
The craft for the day will be snowflakes. All children, ages 2 to 4, are welcome.
Church supper
BETHEL – A public supper will be held at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, at the Bethel United Methodist Church. The menu will include baked beans, hot dishes, salads, dessert, rolls and beverage. Cost is adults, $6; under 12, $3.
