LEWISTON – The YWCA of Central Maine is taking registrations for swim lessons, which will be offered Monday through Thursday mornings, afternoons and evenings and Saturday mornings. Classes are available for all abilities and ages 6 months to adult. Classes may be a half hour or an hour long depending on level.
Classes will begin Monday, Oct. 30, and run from six to eight weeks. The cost of a half-hour class is $55 for six weeks, $60 for seven weeks and $65 for eight weeks. The cost of an hour class is $90 for eight weeks. Participants must be members of the YWCA.
Basic YWCA membership is good for a year and allows members to participate in programs on a pay-as-you-go basis. Basic membership fees are: child up to 12, $30; youth age 13 to 17, $35; adults age 18 to 59, $55; senior citizens age 60+, $45. The YWCA also offers package memberships to include unlimited access to programs.
Private swim lessons are also available by appointment. The cost lessons is $25 per half-hour session. Participants must be YWCA members.
