JAY – Residents are asked to remove belongings from all Jay cemeteries by Nov. 1. Any items not removed by that date will be discarded.

The Jay Town Office will be closed from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday Oct. 12.

Dog licenses will be available after Sunday, Oct. 15, for 2007.

The licenses are due each year by Jan. 1, and a late fee is charged beginning Feb. 1.

Church program

FARMINGTON – Fairbanks Union Church will host a potluck supper at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13, followed by a slide presentation at 7.

The program, “Maritime Adventures,” is the story of Christopher and Anne Smith’s nine-week sailing trip from Belfast to Nova Scotia and Cape Breton Island and back.
