FARMINGTON – The Western Mountain Women’s Connection will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 11, at the Bass Room at Franklin Memorial Hospital.

Gary Curran of Rochester, Mass., will speak on “Coming Home.” The public is welcome to join the group as they honor those in the military – past and present. They are asked to bring a photo of someone in military uniform from any war to be included in a display.

The local branch of the Christian Women’s Club International is in the third year, meeting monthly for fellowship, inspiration and usually a luncheon.

Tres Dias meal

RUMFORD – A Tres Dias potluck dinner will be held at 5 p.m. Friday, July 14, at the Rumford United Methodist Church, Linnell Street. For more information, call 364-8083.

Lodge supper

RUMFORD – A chicken barbecue supper will be served starting at 5 p.m. Saturday, July 15, at Blazing Star Lodge, Route 232, Rumford Corner. The menu will include chicken, potato salad, coleslaw, green beans, homemade rolls and pie. Cost is adults, $6; children under 12, $3. Take-outs are available.
