WEST PARIS – West Paris Grange 298 held its January meeting at the West Paris Baptist Church with 42 present when Laura Hutchins, state deputy, presented the Caroline Hall Junior Achievement Award to the West Paris Majorette Team, coached by Lisa Floster and assistant Sarah Farnum.

The majorette performed in the Memorial Day parade, Old Home Day parade, Veterans Day parade and the Santa Claus parade, as well as for West Paris and Franklin granges and nursing homes.

They also fared well in majorette competitions. They are Taylor Black, Dakota Wendell, Shelby Roberts, Kelsey Durgin, Kaylee Dow, Cassidy Lowe, Katlyn Lowe, Madison Robbins, Prentiss Kurtz, Myrissa Dan, Chrissy Moberg and Madja Gizinski.

The girls performed several numbers as did musicians Richard G. Felt, Dot Canwell and Yvonne Nowlin.

Following the business meeting, the Grangers held a birthday party for Leland Doughty.
