Every year at Lewiston Middle School the student council puts on a pride assembly. Students get recognized for their citizenship and scholarship, being scholar athletes, and unsung heroes. All seventh and eighth grade team teachers nominate selected students who have been contentious, responsible, respectful, and polite to their teachers and other students and are hard workers towards their homework. Other special awards were handed out to each artist of the month and artists who are having their art work in various newsletters or art shows going on around the state.

The Pride Assembly is not only an awards ceremony recognizing those who have achieved, but also a time for student performances. The band and chorus performed songs at the beginning of the show. Other students performed juggling tricks, singing, dancing, and hilarious skits.

The annual event is a fantastic way to start all the students and staff at Lewiston Middle School off to a stress-free, fun February vacation.
