LEWISTON – The 20th annual Holiday Festival for Children will be held from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at the Multi-Purpose Center, 145 Birch St.
Sponsored by Advocates for Children, this year’s festival will feature a character appearance by Marvel’s Amazing Spider-Man, along with children’s entertainer, Rick Charette.
Spiderman will present a program at 9:15 a.m. on personal safety. He teaches children about the subject in a way that helps kids feel empowered. Charette’s performance will follow at 10:30 a.m.
New this year will be “Fur, Feathers and Feet,” an animal education program by the Chewonki Foundation, at 12:30 p.m.
The Masons will conduct CHIPS: Child Identification Program, which will be available all day, along with crafts, activities and Bouncy.
Advance tickets are $3 for children age 2 and older, and $5 for adults. They can be purchased at Hannaford’s in Auburn and Lewiston or at Advocates for Children, 57 Birch St., Suite 204. Adult tickets at the door will be $7.
Advocates for Children is a participating United Way agency and a recipient of the Lewiston Community Development Block Grant.
