Concert a success

FARMINGTON – The combined choirs of the Trinity United Methodist Church and Henderson Memorial Baptist Church held a concert Nov. 6 to benefit the Franklin County Ecumenical Heating Fund. A freewill offering raised $767.37 to help keep local people warm this winter. The amount is approximately enough to provide three families with 100 gallons of fuel each.

The Methodist choir, under the direction of Sandra Hoyt, and the Baptist choir, under the direction of Daniel Woodward, sang favorite anthems. The combined choirs offered several contemporary gospel anthems.

Featured soloists included Darlene Mooar, Judy Farley, Crystal Poulin, Marj Goodwin and Dan Woodward.

Anyone wishing to support the outreach ministry may send a contribution to Franklin County Ecumenical Heating Fund, P.O. Box 147, Farmington, ME 04938.
