FARMINGTON – The Mallett School will host the seventh annual “Prime Time” Reading Night from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, at the school.
Children and their care-givers are invited to go to school in their pajamas to listen to bedtime stories read by a variety of guest readers.
The gym will be open for families to read together, and families with preschool children will have the opportunity for their preschoolers to choose a free book to keep, compliments of the Reading is Fundamental Program.
A parade will take place Friday, Nov. 18, when Mallett School children and staff will celebrate their love of books and reading by dressing up as characters from some of their favorite books and parading from the school down to Main Street and back. The parade will leave Mallett School at 2 p.m., and the public is invited to line the path of the parade to cheer them on.
The events are being held in recognition of National Children’s Book Week.
