FARMINGTON – Heirlooms of Tomorrow will continue its Artist of the Month series with Karen Campbell showing her work in November. An open house to introduce her work will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, and from 10 a.m to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5. The public is invited for refreshments and to meet Campbell, who will be present to explain her work.

She is a Maine native who enjoyed a creatively encouraged upbringing that led her to designing her own line of jewelry. KC’s Jewelry was established in 1987.

In September of 2001, Campbell, feeling the burnout of repetitive jewelry production, turned to watercolor. She has studied with Stan Kierstead, Marni Lawson, Carol Sebold and Michael Vermette.

Campbell paints a wide variety of subjects from landscapes to flamingos and snowmen to martinis. She also teaches project-based art classes at Carrabassett Valley Academy and at her own KC’s Kreativity Center in Carrabassett Valley.

Heirlooms of Tomorrow is located at 710 Wilton Road.
