LISBON – Lisbon Adult Education announces new classes starting in late October and early November. An Adult, Infant, and Child First Aid/CPR class will start on Oct. 19. The class meets for three weeks from 6 to 9 p.m. and costs $55. This class offers American Red Cross certification for non-medical personnel.
A Maine Driving Dynamics class will meet on Oct. 25 and Oct. 26 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. The fee is $25, with senior citizens able to take the class for $5. Those completing the course will receive a three-point credit on their driving record.
A conversational French class will start on Oct. 25 at 6 p.m. The class costs $30 and meets for eight weeks.
Several computer classes have openings. Keyboarding will begin Thursday, Oct. 20. The class runs eight weeks from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. and costs $30. Three Microsoft Word classes are offered. Each class meets for two weeks from 6 to 8 p.m. and costs $10. Microsoft Word Formatting Skills begins Oct. 31. Creating Tables in Microsoft Word class starts Nov. 14. Creating Documents with Merge starts Dec. 5.
An eight-week QuickBooks class starts Wednesday, Oct. 19. The class runs from 6 to 8 p.m. with a cost of $40. Setting Up a Slide Show in Power Point will meet for three weeks starting Nov. 8 from 6 to 8 p.m. with a fee of $15.
An Accounting I class will start on Monday, Oct. 17. The class runs from 10 weeks and meets from 6 to 9 p.m. with a course fee of $50. The course provides the opportunity to earn college credit through an articulation agreement with Central Maine Community College.
