LEWISTON – Each year Common Ties recognizes an individual or group which has made an exceptional contribution to the community and its citizens who have a mental illness.

Nominations are being accepted for the Kelsey Award for Quality and Excellence, which recognizes personal achievements or contributions to healthier communities in ways and means benefiting people living with a mental health illness.

The award presentation will be made at the annual meeting of Common Ties Mental Health Coalition of Lewiston will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, at the Martindale Country Club in Auburn. Common Ties Mental Health provides community support services to area residents having a mental illness

Consider submitting a nomination no later than Oct. 14, to Craig Phillips, executive director, 795-6044 extension 2, [email protected]., or by mailing the nomination to P.O. Box 1319, Lewiston, ME 04240. Include your name and telephone number, the person or group being nominated and the reasons for the nomination.

Common Ties Mental Health is a member agency of the United Way of Androscoggin County and provides community living services to persons who have a mental health illness.
