Harvest supper

LEWISTON – Lots to Gardens will hold a harvest supper from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20, at the Knox Street Garden. Anyone who has questions or needs some veggies to make food with should contact Bridgette at Lots to Gardens, 753-6944.

Lodge to elect

AUBURN – Liberty Rebekah Lodge 94 will meet Monday, Sept. 19, at the Odd Fellows Hall, 50 Elm St. Snacks will be provided at 6 p.m. by the noble grand and vice grand, Beulah Allen and Mercena Abrams.

The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. when election of officers will take place. Plans will be made for the supper to take place before the joint installation of officers with Fidelity Lodge at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11. The lodge will also observe the 154th anniversary of the Rebekah Degree. Annual reports will be presented at the next meeting on Monday, Oct. 3.

Line dancing

LEWISTON – The Lewiston Senior Citizens will offer line dancing from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesdays starting Sept. 21. The 10-week session will be taught by Erin Morin and costs $20 for members. Sign up as early as possible. For more information, call 784-2926, ext. 207.

Scout registration

MONMOUTH – Cub Scout Pack 654 will hold a recruitment night and registration at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, at the Henry Cottrell School. Seniors meal

AUBURN – The New Auburn Senior Citizen will host a spaghetti and meatball dinner at noon Wednesday, Sept. 21, in the St. Louis Church Basement Hall, Dunn Street. It is for members only and costs $3.

A meeting was held Sept. 7 with Virginia Levasseur, president, presiding. September birthdays were noted and small gifts were given. New members welcomed were Marie Mailhot, Carmen Foreman, Cecile Rodrique and John Guy Vincent.

A bus will be provided for anyone interested in going to the Fryeburg Fair on Oct. 4. Cost is $15. There are seats left to go to Indian Head, N.H., on Nov. 10 for a Christmas show and buffet. Cost is $51. Call Ginger at 782-0273.

Pot of gold winners were Lorraine Lapointe, Pauline St. Pierre, Irene Delorme and Jo Ann Janelle.

The meeting adjourned, a light lunch was served and bingo followed. Open bingo for seniors 60 and over will be held Wednesday, Sept. 28.

Lunch-learn

LEEDS – The SeniorsPlus Lunch and Learn will host a session on “Learn the Basics of Computers” at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, at Spring Rock Park Apartments, 802 Church Hill Road.

Jim Boucher from One on One Computers will provide a lesson on learning about computers. The series is open to the public.

The special menu features salmon loaf with egg sauce, whipped potato, peas, biscuit and a cottage pudding dessert, plain cake with lemon sauce and whipped cream, and coffee, tea or milk.

A donation of $2.50 is requested of those 60 and over, their spouses, people with disabilities and volunteers. A $4 donation is asked of those under 60. For reservations or for more information, call 1-888-234-3921.
