LEWISTON – The 1955 class of Lewiston High School held its 50th reunion at a dinner-dance at the Carriage House recently, with music by Mr. K. The class had a weekend of events starting with a two-hour bus tour of downtown Lewiston and Auburn on Saturday afternoon, narrated by classmate Robert Connors, showing the changes in the Twin Cities.

A stop at their old alma mater, now the Lewiston Middle School, allowed everyone an opportunity to view the old school and the “new” auditorium, which was built after they graduated.

The weekend events finished with a Sunday brunch at the Carriage House. Weekend events were planned by Normand LaPlante, chairman, Lucille Berube Langlais, secretary, Joanne Pauze Bergeron, Lorraine Drapeau Aubut, Norman Sherburne and Rachel Gilbert Morin, publicity.

An in memoriam board was prepared by Lorraine Aubut and poster boards with 100 photos by Rachel Morin, depicting the changes in the Twin Cities during the past 10 years.

The Rev. William Gahagan, classmate, led the invocation and remembrance of deceased classmates. Normand LaPlante welcomed the classmates and introduced Fred Hall, class president, who addressed the group. Robert Kwesell led the group in singing the school song.
