Country dance
EAST DIXFIELD – The country group, Rock “N” Country, will play at the free country dance from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, July 8, at the Countryfolk Music Theatre on Route 2. The jam session will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, July 8, and will be followed by the dance from 9 to 11 p.m. All are welcome. Please bring your own chairs. Camper play
STARKS – The public is invited to the annual play presented by the third and fourth grade Bantam Campers at Camp at the Eastward. The play will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, July 8, and all are welcome. The camp is located on Sawyer’s Mills Road off Route 43. For more information, call 696-5737.
Crafts workshop
FARMINGTON – “Flying Fish and Windsocks” is the theme for the July arts and crafts workshops to be held from 3 to 4 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, July 12 and 14, at Everyone’s Resource Depot, University of Maine at Farmington. Street dance
RANGELEY – The Rangeley Town Park will rock during the annual street dance at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 21. A number of Rangeley artists have joined on the same stage to perform familiar and original music. The free event is sponsored by the Rangeley Friends of the Arts.
Prayer Safari’
CARTHAGE – The Carthage Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 760 Carthage Road, invites all children ages 5 and up to join for a “Prayer Safari” Vacation Bible School from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, Aug. 1 to 5.
In a safari atmosphere the children will sing, have skits, create crafts and play games. Lunch will be included.

Stress workshop
AVON – SAD 58 Adult and Community Education will offer “Stress Management: Tips and Topics,” a four-week stress management class taught by Joyce Murphy, RN and advanced holistic nurse, beginning Aug. 1 at the Opportunity Center of North Franklin County.
The class will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. and will include instruction on various relaxation techniques, breathing tips, journaling, aromas, tai chi, imagery and accupressure.
