FARMINGTON – Village Harmony, a youth choir from Vermont, will return to perform at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, July 10, in Nordica Auditorium at the University of Maine at Farmington.

Village Harmony includes singers ages 13 to 18 from across New England and as far away as California and North Carolina. They are known for their “sheer agility, vitality and power.”

The ensemble of 27 young singers will be led by Village Harmony founder Larry Gordon, with two co-directors, North Carolina choir leader Jane Peppler and Vermont dance musician and Irish music specialist Brendan Taaffe. The voices are augmented in many numbers by a band of fiddles, cellos, clarinets, trumpet and keyboard.

Admission will be at the door. Prices are $6 for adults, $5 for senior citizens and free for children under 16. The concert is sponsored by the Arts Institute of Western Maine. For more information, call 645-2157.
