RANGELEY – The Rangeley Public Library Fund-raising Committee is planning the a Literary Gala Dinner Dance and Silent Auction on Sunday, Aug. 11.
The event will honor authors who have written about Rangeley history.
The committee is seeking information on any authors who live in the Rangeley region or have written about the region. People are asked to send names and contact information to the Rangeley Public Library, PO Box 381, Rangeley, ME 04970, c/o Joan Dunlap.
Wiltonas recess
WILTON – The Wiltona Women’s Club met at the Wilton Congregational Church on May 18 for a game party.
Twenty attended to play their game of choice. Bridge prizes were awarded to Wilma Hobbs, Mary Farnham and JoAnne Brooks. Elsbeth Johnson won at Scrabble; Anne Frary, Skip Bo. Hostesses were Alice Lake, Ida Goodhart and Helen Colburn. Members met at the Carriage House Cafe in Livermore on May 19 for an outing. The club will recess until September.
