OTISFIELD – The town of Otisfield will host open gym from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturdays, April 16, 23 and 30, at the Otisfield Community School on Powhattan Road for middle and high school students. There is no fee for Otisfield residents. Admission for non-residents will be $2 per session.

Citizen Night

BRYANT POND – There will be a Community Citizen Night open house at 7 p.m. Monday, April 18, at the grange hall. Kenneth Hoyt will be honored.

Christian Women

PARIS – The Christian Women United will meet beginning with a luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 19, at the First Congregational Church, 17 East Main St., South Paris. Bluebirds topic

BETHEL – The Mahoosuc Land Trust will present special guest Jennifer Loomis wildlife photographer and author from Greenwood who will discuss bluebirds at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20, at the Trustee’s Auditorium, McLaughlin Science Center, Gould Academy.

Loomis has had her photographs printed in National Geographic, Audubon and National Wildlife magazines. She will speak on eastern and mountain bluebirds, what they like to eat, what direction to face their nest boxes and much more.

Those in attendance will get plans to build a bluebird house and see a nest with eggs. Loomis will have photographs available for purchase. There is no admission fee.

Guide to speak

BETHEL – The Mollyockett Chapter of Trout Unlimited will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, at Ordway Hall, Gould Academy. John Wight, faculty member and master Maine guide, will present a program he did with New England Sports Network and their weekly CAMO Country for Kids program.

Worship leader

PARIS – Silver Moore-Leamon will be the worship leader at the 10 a.m. service Sunday, April 17, at the First Universalist Church, 36 Pine St., South Paris. Her topic will be “Multiply and Subdue.” The music will be by the choir and Forest Perkins, church organist. Renee Wales will direct the Sunday school, and child care will be provided. The coffee hour will follow the service in Good Cheer Hall. Everyone is welcome.

Annual auction

NORWAY – The Norway-Paris Fish and Game Association reminds members that the annual auction will be held beginning with a potluck supper at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 21, at the Little Red Schoolhouse, Norway Lake.

All items are acceptable and do not have to pertain to hunting or fishing. Proceeds will benefit the association’s general fund.

The auction is one of the major fund-raising activities for the association. All club members are encouraged to attend, even if they have no items to donate.

Group to elect

WEST PARIS – The annual meeting of the Finnish Cemetery Association will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 26, at the Mission Congregational Church, Church Street. Reports will be given and election of officers will be held. Anyone having any connections with the cemetery are invited to attend.
