AUBURN – Central Maine Community College began open enrollment for summer sessions on April 4. Courses are open to the general public on a first-come, first-served basis; tuition and fees range from $186 to $362.

The first summer session will start on May 16; the second session will begin on July 12.

Courses are available in the earlier session in humanities and social science, including economics, criminal justice, psychology, history, writing, speech, music, technology and society, critical thinking, speech and mathematics.

Computer science classes will include computer applications, computer-aided drafting and computer technology.

Courses from the career and technical programs will include business, education, occupational health and safety and machine tool technology.

In the later session, courses designed to serve recent high school graduates and students returning from college for the summer will be offered, including arts and sciences such as biology, mathematics, economics, human geography, philosophy, psychology, English and speech, as well as machine tool technology and business and computer applications.
