PARIS – Eileen Steck, Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School Early Childhood Program educator, and Maureen Howard, executive director of the Oxford Hills Community Education Exchange, recently provided a workshop, “Working with School-Aged Children” for high school volunteers and after-school staff.

The volunteers work in the district’s after-school programs or are interns in the Community Internship Program. The training provided information on stages of child development, as well as age-appropriate activities.

In attendance at the training were high school volunteers and interns, Heather Fugere, Nicole Russell, Ashley Pike, Morgan Lowe, Rachel Sunderland, Becky Farr, Ally Smith-Poulin and Megan Parsons.

After-school staff in attendance were Courtney Corbett, Jackie Rice, NancyLee Piper, Jill Gustaitis and Luba Greene.
