Bob Marley tickets available

RUMFORD – Bob Marley will appear at 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 4, at Mountain Valley High School for a fund-raiser for the class of 2005.

Cost for tickets is $15, and they can be purchased at Mountain Valley High School office, Franklin Savings Bank or Hannaford.

Senior citizens plan meeting

RUMFORD – The Rumford Senior Citizens will meet at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22.

New trips announced include March 17, St. Patrick’s trip to Indian Head in Lincoln, N.H., bus leaving the center at 8:30 a.m., price is $42; April 9, Stars on Ice at Cumberland County Civic Center, Portland, bus leaving at 3:30 p.m., supper at Country Buffet, price is $46; and April 15, sugar trip to Coaticook, Canada, must have a photo ID and birth certificate, bus leaving the center at 8:30 a.m., price is $35.

Seniors will vote by ballot at the center on March 23 for the three new board members. Five candidates are vying for three seats. The polls will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Day of prayer slated

RUMFORD – World Day of Pray will be hosted by St. Athanasius-St. John Church from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday, March 4. It will be the Centennial Ecumenical gathering with the community.
