MEXICO – The Mexico Congregational Church, United Church of Christ (UCC), will hold its annual Christmas fair, “Christmas at the Green,” from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6.

The “Green Church” at 163 Main St. plans its usual “big doings” with a huge bake sale, raffles, a Chinese auction, breakfast and lunch, all downstairs in the dining room. Upstairs there will be homemade crafts, including baskets, sewn and knitted goods, all kinds of crafts and a room full of books and puzzles.

Outside on the front lawn, George Kimball will have assembled several old-fashioned cider presses and folks will make apple cider to buy by the quart or gallon.

Something new this year will be the opportunity to order Thanksgiving pies (apple, pumpkin, mince) baked by church members, ready to be picked up just before the holiday.

The church will offer a turkey supper with all the fixings at 5 p.m. The cost is $6.50 for adults and $3.50 for kids.
