BRYANT POND – The Whitman Memorial Library will feature Ed Howe at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 14.

Howe will tell about his trip to Alaska. One of the highlights was a visit to a working gold mine. A video of his trip will be shown. The free program is open to the public.

Society speaker

NORWAY – The Norway Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct 21, at the society museum on Main Street.

The speaker will be J. Emily Foster. She will give a talk about the history of Bar-Jo’s Restaurant and her life with Jo Stone.
