Night At The Museum, which opened in theaters on December 22, 2006 and made the top of the box office that week, is a comedy about a man named Larry Daley (Ben Stiller) and his experience as a night guard at the Museum of Natural History in New York City. During his overnight shift, everything in the museum comes to life. This includes monkeys, dinosaurs, and even the wax-figured Theodore Roosevelt. All of this occurs every night because of an ancient Egyptian tablet, located on a wall in the Egyptian section of the museum. Soon, the museum erupts in total chaos and only Larry Daley can save history and his job at the same time.

This movie successfully held the interest and attention of its audience because of its comical characters and whimsical plot of fantasy. Though the plot of this movie is unbelievable and could never really happen in real life, the theme of this movie keeps its audience at the edge of their seat. The film gradually develops its theme well and the characters seem genuine to the story. Their personalities build to their actions, leaving the audience in laughter and interest. The actors do a fine job of portraying their characters and making them believable. That special effects, such as the immense skeleton dinosaur racing through the halls of the museum, create its desired illusions and enhance the movie to make it more intriguing, appealing, and comical. In addition, the movie’s soundtrack was clear and amazing even though there was not much music played throughout the movie. However, when the music did play, it matched the scene very well.

Night At The Museum is truly one of the best movies of the year. It is must-see for the whole family and a load of laughs for the children.
