WEST PARIS – April 24 saw a packed hall at the Agnes L. Gray gym. A special variety show in tribute to the memory of Harlan Abbott and Vernon Inman and to honor the six local servicemen in Iraq was presented by Tri-Town Rescue Auxiliary.

The Boy and Girl Scout troops opened the event by marched in to present the colors, and all saluted the flag. The Scouts presented musical selections, and Jewell Clark and Donnie Catlin played and sang several songs.

Eric Wight was next on the program followed by Jackie’s Jazz Dancers. Bill Rice sang a couple of numbers and played the guitar. Rich Blake finished out the first act by playing guitar and singing.

After door prizes and intermission the second act opened with the Tri-Town Potatoes, Vance Bacon as the farmer and a musical skit. The majorettes, who will march in the Memorial Day parade, took to the stage. After several other performances, everyone joined to sing the finale.
