FARMINGTON – George Weeks of Wilton and fellows members of the Farmer’s Draft Horse, Mule and Pony Club will do fieldwork beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, May 22 and 23, on Route 2 and 27.

The free and friendly event will take place three miles south of the center of Farmington across from York’s large agricultural fields. There will be other draft animal on hand. They will plow and prepare a farm field owned by Bill and Janice Crandall.

The draft animals and their seasoned handlers will demonstrate the use of horse-drawn plows and old implements to ready the field for planting while neighbors and friends catch up.

The day will be done when the men are tired. No rain date has been set. Call Bill at 778-9023 after 5 p.m. for more information.
