AUBURN – The fourth annual Mother-Daughter-Doll Tea Party will be held on Saturday, April 24, at the Woman’s Literary Union clubhouse, 19 Elm St. Mothers/daughters, aunts/nieces, grandmothers/granddaughters are invited to attend the event from 1 to 4 p.m.

Dorothy Darling Gatchell will be the storyteller. Gatchell, a retired school teacher, is well known in the Lewiston-Auburn area. One of her stories will be about an Irish girl in the mid-1800s. Another story will be of a fairy doll, and Gatchell will share ideas on building a fairy house in the backyard.

At prior WLU tea parties young girls have arrived dressed in the same outfit as their American Doll.

Throughout the first floor of the clubhouse there will be displays of dolls owned by club members as well as dolls from the private collection of WLU.

Reservations are not necessary. Cost is $6 for adults, $2 each child. For further information, call 784-6708 or 784-0651. Refreshments will be served.
