FARMINGTON – Colonial Daughters Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution held their February meeting at the Wilton Historical Society.
Guest speaker Marjorie Goodwin gave a slide presentation on Stanwood Park. Her description of how the park began, along with pictures of the wild animals brought back many memories for several members.
Goodwin also brought a scrapbook containing numerous newspaper clippings that dated back to the 30s and 40s about Stanwood Park and other stories of interest about many familiar local people.
A silent auction was held to benefit the UMF Scholarship Fund. Delegates were elected for the coming year. Hostesses Nelda Doak, Mary Lawrence, Joanne Page, Marion Hutchinson and Nancy Flick served a light luncheon.
