AUBURN – The Corporate and Community Services Department at Central Maine Community College will offer Adventures in Attitudes, an empowering program designed to help people understand that they can choose how they perceive and respond to situations, people and events.

The program will run from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesdays, from March 3 to May 12, at the college. The cost is $295 and includes all materials. A second person from the same organization may attend at half price.

Participants will move through 10 areas critical to increasing self-awareness, changing attitudes and improving relationships. They are Effective Listening, Attitudes of Personal Empowerment, Developing Communication Skills, Creative Problem Solving, Attitude Awareness, Team Building Strategies, Dealing with Emotions, Motivational Power, Understanding People and Reaching Your Potential.

The program builds and enhances employees’ commitment to the organization and encourages positive action versus passive resistance. It provides organizations with a time-tested, life-changing program offering long-term performance improvement.

The program will be presented by Harriet and Chuck Vaughan, a husband-and-wife team, who provide training and coaching in personal relationship skills. They have more than 16 years of experience in providing seminars and workshops for organizations throughout Maine and are members of the American Society for Training and Development.
