AUBURN – Central Maine Community College and members of the Maine Community College System Board of Trustees will host a reception at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, to acknowledge a $25,000 gift from AAA Northern New England to the AAA Endowed Scholarship Fund.

As part of the reception, three automotive students will be presented with the 2004 AAA scholarships of $1,000 each. The event will be held in the Lakeside Training Room in Jalbert Hall (Room 234).

Presenting the donation and this year’s scholarship awards will be Thomas Kinley, president and CEO of AAA Northern New England. Joanna Jones, chairwoman of the system trustees and college President Scott Knapp will give brief remarks.

The AAA endowment program funds annual scholarships to students enrolled in an automotive technology program at a Maine community college. The scholarship rotates annually among those colleges that offer automotive programs.
