BETHEL – Approximately 145 Telstar Regional High School junior and senior students will be excused from school to participate in the annual Career Exploration/Community Service program during March.

The program enables students to contact, coordinate and job shadow or work with employers of SAD 44, Oxford County and work sites throughout Maine.

Career exploration and community service projects assess the accomplishment of aspects of the Maine Learning Results. In the past many students found careers that interested them and influenced their decisions about future courses, colleges and training programs.

In the next several weeks students will contact businesses or individuals to arrange career exploration experiences or community service projects. Anyone who know of a project students can do or who has questions about the program can call the guidance office at 824-2136, ext. 308, 309 or 310.
