LEWISTON – The Franco American War Veterans members are planning a trip to Washington, D.C., from April 14 to 17.
National Commander Lindy McCallum and National President Fern Ronan, both of Lewiston, will place a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers at Arlington National Cemetery.
The trip will include visits to the Franklin Roosevelt, Korean, Vietnam and the World War II monuments. The World War II monument will be dedicated on May 29.
A preview of the wreath-laying ceremony and other events on the trip will be shown on video at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 16, at the Multi-Purpose Center, Birch Street. Everyone is welcome.
