RUMFORD – The Red Hat Momma’s of Western Maine will meet at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, at the Island Cafe for their monthly meeting. Members should bring the completed questionnaire.

WOWs speakers

RUMFORD – The WOWS (Widows or Widowers Sharing) will meet at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 29, at the Rumford United Methodist Church on Linnell Street.

Speakers will be Jean and Bill Hersey who will present a program on the life of Holman Day, Maine poet, novelist, and movie producer from a century ago.

The meeting will be followed by dessert. All widows and widowers in the area are invited.

RUMFORD – The Sunday Wonders met recently at Oxford Lanes.

Jan. 4, Stacie Sargent had the high single and high triple with 119 and 315. Debbie Brann had the special.

Jan. 11, Karen Murphy had the high single and high triple with 112 and 318. Bunny Lufkin had the special.

Jan. 18, high single, Karen Turner and Karen Fitzherbert tied at 118, and Cathy McDonald had high triple with 306.
