LEWISTON – The YWCA of Central Maine announces new youth programs. All classes will begin week of Jan. 5. Participants must be YWCA member or become a member for $25 a year.

Lotion, Potion and Slime: A class designed with fun craft and science activities. Some classes may include cooking. It is for participants ages 6 to 12. The class will run from 3:30 to 4:15 p.m. every Tuesday for seven weeks. Cost is $49 a participant.

Fun, Food and Fitness: A class designed to teach participants how to cook healthy fun snacks and enjoy exercising. The class will utilize the pool and arge gym to learn fun ways to exercise. It is for participants ages 8 to 12. The class will run from 3:30 to 5 p.m. every Monday and Wednesday for seven weeks. Cost is $97.50 a person

Jump for Joy: A jump-rope exercise class that will include teaching participants how to exercise safely and the importance of good nutrition. It is for participants ages 6 to 12. An interest list is being formed. Start date and time will be announced.
