WOODSTOCK -The Woodstock Historical Society members enjoyed a potluck supper followed by a Christmas party at a recent meeting. Supporters of the society were also recognized. After the meal Annella Burnham drew prizes for society supporters.
Curator Larry Billings said he has put a large bust of Abraham Lincoln on loan in the museum as a special exhibit for the society’s 25th year. Burnham gave a research report on an old phonograph like the one Mary Billings played for the society in November. Treasurer Paul Billings reported revenues were good and also money had been returned for an order the society canceled.
After the meeting members exchanged cards and gifts from a table with a manger scene supplied by Larry Billings.
The next meeting will be at 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, at the Town Hall Conference Room and John Hathaway will speak about canning jars and bottles.
