LEWISTON – Lucille B. Nelson of Auburn was elected president of the Rebekah Assembly of Maine at the Assembly Session in Portland, Oct. 17. She has appointed Mercena Abrams to be her marshal.

In their honor a reception will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, at the Elks Lodge Banquet Hall. There will be a banquet at 5 p.m. The deadline for reservations is Saturday, Nov. 8. Anyone interested in making reservations can call 782-2515.

Hosting the event are Liberty Rebekah Lodge 94 and Worumbus Auxiliary LAPM, both of Auburn. The reception committee is Beulah Allen of Auburn and Esther Tucker of Poland with Allen in charge of tickets. Tucker is in charge of the program and entertainment. Arlene Simons of Liberty Lodge and Martha Shorette of Worumbus Auxiliary will be the greeters. The guest books and gift table will be under the direction of Janet Hampton, daughter of the president, and Diane Edwards, daughter-in-law of the president. Gordon Kimball of Fidelity Rebekah Lodge 4, Auburn, is the photographer.
