AUBURN – The city of Auburn and DFS Services will offer a basic food safety class on Monday, Oct. 27, at the Auburn City Building council chambers, 45 Spring St.
The class, which will run from 8:30 a.m. to noon, will discuss food safety in retail establishments. Preregistration by Thursday, Oct. 23, is suggested. Rugs to be topic
TURNER – The Turner Museum and Historical Association will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at the Turner Town Office.
The topic will be “Priscilla Turner Rugs.” Members will provide stories about the products made by the guild, production methods and an exhibit of some of the products. Former employees of the business are invited to attend as is the public.
VFW meeting

Crafters needed
LEWISTON – The YWCA of Central Maine need crafters to participate in the third annual “Let It Snow Craft and Gift Fair” to be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at the 130 East Ave. facility. Crafters of all types are welcome. Table rentals are $20 each or two tables for $35. All proceeds will benefit the growth of future YWCA programs.
