PARIS – The Snow Hoppers Snowmobile Club of South Paris will hold its next meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 28, at the CN Brown Conference Room in South Paris.

A potluck supper will start at 6:30 with a business meeting to follow. All are welcome. For more information, contact President Peter Bickford at 743-8526.

The club is holding a bottle drive through the first of December. All proceeds will go toward grooming trails. Anyone with bottles to donate, either take them to Payne’s Redemption Center in South Paris and mention the Snow Hoppers, or call President Peter Bickford at 743-8526 to have them picked up.

Open mic

NORWAY – The Commons Music Collective’s monthly Coffeehouse Open Mic Night will be held at the Norway Unitarian Universalist Church on Main Street Friday, Oct. 31. Sign-up for performers begins at 6:30 p.m., and the festivities begin at 7. Admission is $3 for adults, kids are free. Costume dress is encouraged. There will be local entertainment, refreshments and opportunities for Halloween fun.

Founded in 2002 by Heather Pierson and Diane Vincent, the Norway Coffeehouse Open Mic nights have raised hundreds of dollars for local nonprofit agencies and charitable causes. This month’s funds will benefit the Commons Music Collective, a group of musicians based in Norway committed to creating community through music with events such as their monthly song swaps and ongoing concert series. Food drive

WOODSTOCK – Students of the Foresdale School in Perkins Valley will go door-to- door from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 31, for their annual food drive for Thanksgiving baskets. They will be collecting canned goods and any other non-perishable goods. People who aren’t home can leave canned goods on outside steps.
