FARMINGTON – In the absence of the pastor, Earl Edgerly, special speakers at Farmington Baptist Church include Ron Rich, director of Missions with the Maine Baptist Association; Melton Short, presenting a seminar on “The Old Testament Made Simple”; and on the Sunday after the pastor’s return the message will be delivered by Tom DuBois, director of Worship at FBC.

Women’s bible-study, “Living Beyond Yourself-Exploring the Fruit of the Spirit,” led by Selina Shields, is being from 1 to 2 p.m. Mondays and 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays.

A women’s retreat titled “We Are His Workmanship” will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at the Kennebec Valley Baptist Church in Waterville. Registration deadline is Oct. 22. Cost of $10 does not include lunch.

“Extraordinary Women” conference will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, at Hope Baptist Church in Manchester. A love offering will be taken.

Ladies Brunch and Spa Day will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, at Farmington Baptist Church Saturday. Women are invited to join in a fun, relaxing morning with pampering, prayer and providing for others. Proceeds from personal care items (shampoo, soap, etc.) will be donated to the Care and Share food closet. Potluck brunch.

A men’s breakfast will be held at 8 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 18. All men are invited for a time of fellowship and bible study.

The Edgerlys have been in Germany visiting with their son and family and seeing a newborn grandchild.
