NORWAY – The six trainers from AdvanceTel’s Training Department donated $1,063 to the Child Health Center’s Big Brothers Big Sisters Program of Western Maine.
The trainers, who raised the money for their climb up New Hampshire’s Frankenstein Cliff in Crawford Notch, are employees of AdvanceTel, a direct marketing company in Auburn. The trainers said most of the funds to support the program came from their fellow employees.
The Child Health Center’s Big Brothers Big Sisters Program is in its 13th year of matching children with caring adult and teen volunteer mentors throughout Oxford, Androscoggin, southern Franklin and northern Cumberland counties.
Those wishing to learn more about becoming a mentor can call 743-7035 or visit the Web site at www.childhealthcenter.org.
