PARIS – Silver Moore-Leamon will be the speaker at the 10 a.m. service Sunday, Sept. 28, at the First Universalist Church, 36 Pine St., South Paris. Her sermon topic will be “The Knee Bone’s Connected to the Back Bone.” The special music will be provided by violinist Mary Ellen Tracy and organist Forest Perkins. The coffee hour will follow in Good Cheer Hall. Everyone is welcome.
Parenting series
PARIS – Parenting through separation or divorce is the topic of a free workshop series offered by the University of Maine Cooperative Extension in Oxford County. Participants must preregister by Thursday, Oct. 2.
The course will focus on understanding the effects of separation/divorce, helping children, moving from conflict to cooperation, and communicating effectively. The four-part series will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 2, 9, 16 and 23 at the Extension Office on Olson Road.
