NORTH WATERFORD – The Rev. George Frobig invites area children ages 4 through grade six to attend Vacation Bible School from 9:30 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, Aug. 11 through 13, at the North Waterford Congregational Church UCC, Five Kezars Road.
This year’s Vacation Bible School is being hosted by Oxford County United Parish and the Waterford Congregational Church UCC. For more information, contact Frobig at 693-6461 or the Rev. Anita White at 583-6381.
Frobig reminds church members and friends to attend regular 10 a.m. Sunday worship services during August at the Stoneham Congregational Church UCC on Route 5.
Frobig also notes that Saturday, July 31, will be the last day for the Stoneham Thrift Shop and Bake Sale. The thrift shop will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
A public supper will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 3, at the church. Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for children under 12. The menu will include baked beans, American chop suey, casseroles, salads, brown bread, rolls, beverages and homemade pies for dessert.
Stoneham church’s annual turkey supper will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 12. The menu includes roast turkey and all the fixings, corn on the cob, rolls, beverages and homemade desserts. Tickets are $7 for adults and $3.50 for children under 12.
