NORWAY – Musicians, writers and performers are invited to sign up for the next coffeehouse open mic on Friday, Sept. 26, at the Unitarian Universalist Church on Main Street. Sign-up begins at 6:30, and admission is $3. The public is invited. There will be vending opportunities for artists with CDs or writing for sale and refreshments will be available.
Started in 2002 by Maine songwriter and composer Heather Pierson, the open mic nights are fund-raisers for the Commons Music Collective, musicians based in Norway whose aim is to create community with music. The open mic nights have also raised hundreds of dollars for local nonprofit and charitable agencies. For more information, contact Heather at 207-935-4505 or send e-mail to [email protected].
