On Thurs, Feb. 2, the Bengal Team of Tripp Middle School went to see the production of “Far Away.” Performer Jennifer Armstrong retold the tale about the different cultures Maine has had its community. She sang songs from different ethnic groups like the French, Swedish, and Native American. Along with her singing and story telling she played different instruments that come from those ethnic groups. Some examples of the instruments are bongo drum, and bagpipes.

Miss Armstrong told about the lullabies different cultures would sing and what the songs meant. Jennifer traveled all over Maine to find out about different lullabies and how they were made. She herself not being from Maine, learned about the new state she lived in. It was a fine performance about the history and culture of Maine and the Bengals team really enjoyed listening to it.
