NEW GLOUCESTER – The public is invited to the Cumberland County Extension Association’s 2003 annual meeting from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, at Pineland Farms, Route 231. The public is welcome to do a self-guided tour between 6 and 6:45 p.m. The event is free. For directions, call Colleen at 1-800-287-1471.
Amy Sinclair of WGME TV Channel 13 will give the keynote address. She will speak on her encounters with memorable Maine people through her “Where’s Amy?” and “What’s Growing” segments.
Dr. Lavon Bartel, director and dean of the Cooperative Extension, will share her perspectives on the “State of Extension in Maine.”
The meeting will be followed by a dessert social – a pie bake-off (complete with cash prizes). All recipes will become part of a Cooperative Extension cookbook.
