GREENE – Greene Baptist Church will hold its Homecoming Weekend on Saturday, and Sunday, Sept. 13 and 14. The following events are planned:

Saturday, Sept. 13, at 7 p.m.: New England’s first family of gospel music, the Campbells, will present a concert.

The Campbells are a full-time gospel music ministry from Maine. They travel extensively throughout the United States and Canada and have released numerous recordings that are played through the country.

Sunday, Sept 14, at 9:15 a.m.: ventriloquist Dana Perkins will offer a program for kids and adults.

Sunday at 10:45 a.m.: special homecoming service with guest speaker the Rev. Dr. Alfred J. Fletcher. He is the executive minister for the American Baptist Churches of Maine. Special music will be presented by the Rev. Alan L. Shumway and Barbara Garrison.

Sunday at 6 p.m.: an old-fashioned hymn sing with pianist/organist Dana Ross.

This will be a weekend of renewing old friendships and rediscovering new ones.
