AUBURN – Twelve-year-old Corrie-Marie Bernatchez of Auburn, daughter of Gerry and Stephanie Bernatchez, has been in pageants since the age of 1 1/2 years, her first being the Oxford Fair pageant where she won first out of 60 contestants.
She has taken a break over the last year but recently tried her luck again. Corrie-Marie vied for the title of America’s National All Stars Connecticut State Tropical Fiesta Pageant in Waterbury. She competed in beauty, tropical wear and photogenic, winning tropical wear, photogenic and placing first runner-up in the beauty competition. She also won an award for best hair.
Corrie-Marie recently was a top five finalist in the Marvelousa Mania photo contest. She will participate in several pageants in the next few months in Connecticut.
A new coach is being brought to Maine from Connecticut to help girls of all ages interested in participating in any areas of pageant competition, as well as any type of pageant. Anyone interested can call 783-8472.
