LEWISTON – A new service offered by the Sun Journal gives nonprofit agencies a free forum to advertise for in-kind donations.

The Wish List, a listing of items sought by area nonprofits, is running in the classified pages.

“This is another way we can keep our readers informed of how they can contribute to nonprofits in our circulation area,” said Customer Service supervisor Marianne Ireland.

The new classification is designed to help agencies and to give people the option of donating tangible items instead of cash.

Nonprofits should send their requests – with a contact name and phone number – to Ireland, who will review them. Ads run for 10 days and can include up to seven lines of copy.
