TOPSHAM – Flying Changes Center for Therapeutic Riding, Route 201, will host its third annual “Critter-thon” Petwalk Benefit from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, at the center.

The center seeks participants to put on their walking shoes and show off their favorite and pet. In addition to dogs and small farm animals, small pets kept in cages (birds, hamsters, guinea pigs, mice) or other small containers (ants,fiddler crabs, turtles) are welcome and small red wagons will be provided to assist with pet transport around the center’s indoor arena.

Rain or shine, individuals and families will step out to marching music in a grande parade, compete for prizes for the biggest/smallest/cutest/most unusual pet, best costume for pet or owner, pet/owner look alike and greatest distance walked.

There will be a blessing of the animals by the Rev. Lin Peyton at 12:30. Top prize for the most sponsorships raised for Flying Changes special needs riding programs will be a $100 gift certificate to LL Bean.
