Song workshop

RUMFORD – River Valley History-in-Song workshops will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25 and Wednesday, Sept. 8, at Scrappers Domaine, Canal Street.

Foothills Arts Center presents storytelling and songwriting workshops for adults and youth ages 13 and up. History buffs, musicians and people with no previous history or songwriting experience are welcome. The session will be led by singer/songwriter Martin Swinger.

Cost is $10 per person, $20 for family for one workshop; $15 per person, $30 for family for two workshops. Call for lower fees for people with limited finances. Early bird discounts for sign-ups by Friday, Aug. 20.
